An Orange Park 11-year-old named Ya'quasia Delcarmen has some typical pre-teen likes, such as earning praise from teachers and spending time with friends; and dislikes, such as homework and some school cafeteria food. But she has some big ideas, too, about freedom in the United States.

School: W. E. Cherry Elementary

What I like about school: "I like learning and having my teachers saying that I did a good job, and hanging out with friends."

What I don't like about school: "I don't like the cafeteria food sometimes! I also don't like getting a lot of homework unless I have a friend to work with me."

What my friends and I do in our free time: "We hang out and have sleepovers and mainly talk about school, friends and much more."

If I was president of the U.S.: "I would make the people of the U.S. happy and free."

Favorite book: Madison Finn (series)

Favorite movie: The Chronicles of Narnia and Final Destination (1, 2 and 3)
