British young gun Alex Bogdanovic is confident he will break into the world's top 100 by the end of Wimbledon if he maintains his Artois Championships form.

The 23-year-old picked up crucial ranking points with his charge into the third round, and he will move further up the table if he makes an impact at the Nottingham Open next week.

A 6-4 6/7 (5/7) 4-6 defeat to world number five Andy Roddick ended his interest at Queen's yesterday but the British No 3 is already looking at the bigger picture.

He said: "My target is to get into that top 100. I feel that in the next couple of weeks, if I continue playing like I did against Roddick, it's possible.

"I started Queen's at 117 in the world and will have moved up a bit, so I'm already pretty close. But I need to take it one match at a time.

"Becoming British No 2 would be nice, but at the moment I'm more focused on making that top 100.

"Whether I'm third or second, it's all about trying to build my game, about getting out there and beating these guys. …
