MICHAEL Bell says Red Evie is 'on a mission' as she prepares to take on George Washington in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot tomorrow.

The four-year-old filly won the Sandringham Handicap at the Royal meeting 12 months ago, her fifth win of an unbelievable season.

She went on to win the Group One Matron Stakes at Leopardstown and added another win at the highest level on her seasonal reappearance in the Lockinge at Newbury last month.

''She is in very good form,'' said Bell. ''I think it is going to be a fascinating race. She is the only filly taking on a whole load of colts, and in particular George Washington, but she's up for it.

''I was thrilled to bits with her at Newbury. It was a brave call to keep her in training as a four-year-old but she has gone and won the Lockinge.

''From here on in - I wouldn't say that everything is a bonus - but the pressure is completely off. She has beaten the colts.

''We could have taken the easy option and run her in the Windsor Forest but we are on a mission. …
