Following is a compilation of reports from Beaches-area police departments:


- A 27-year-old man was arrested about 11 p.m. June 20 and charged with possession of crack cocaine, less than 20 grams of marijuana and resisting an officer in the 900 block of Sailfish Drive West.

An officer believed the man was selling drugs on Royal Palm Drive. When the officer tried to handcuff the man, he pulled away and ran toward Sailfish Drive West, police said. The officer chased the man and yelled at him several times to stop then used a Taser stun gun on him. Police found four grams of crack cocaine and three grams of marijuana in a plastic bag inside the man's pants pockets.

- A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated battery after police say he hit a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman at about 12:30 p.m. June 20 in the 100 block of Cornell Lane. The man threw a shoe at the 17-year-old and hit her in the leg and hit the 18-year-old in the forehead.


- A 21-year-old homeless man was arrested June 19 in the 600 block of Beach Boulevard and charged with criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

The man and his girlfriend went to a gas station and she went inside to steal some beer, police said. The store clerk automatically locked the door while the woman was inside. When the man saw what happened, he kicked a hole through the glass door to get the woman out, police said.

- A woman reported Thursday that her purse was stolen from her shopping cart in the 400 block of Marsh Landing Parkway. The woman was unloading bags into her car when someone took her purse, which contained a $400 phone and $600.

- A 25-year-old Georgia man was arrested Friday in the 400 block of First Street North and charged with armed possession of cocaine and marijuana.

Police stopped the man's car and found a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun near the man's seat, 3. …
