The following is a compilation of reports from Beaches-area police departments:


- A 40-year-old Atlantic Beach woman was arrested Aug. 8 in the 500 block of Camelia Street and charged with aggressive battery, criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving.

The victim, the woman's husband, said he was riding his bike west on First Street, approaching Camelia Street, when he saw his wife's car parked on the road. He approached the car and they got into an argument. The man rode around the car and the woman followed him and hit him with the car. He hit the hood of the car and rolled onto the ground.

- A man reported Aug. 4 that someone burglarized his business in the 400 block of Levy Road and took $2,000 worth of metal racks.

- A 53-year-old homeless man was arrested Aug. 8 in the 800 block of Atlantic Boulevard and charged with failing to register as a sex offender on his driver's license. The man was released from jail on July 2 and had not registered a new address. His last registered address was in Jacksonville Beach in 2005.

- A man reported Friday that he was attacked in the 900 block of Plaza Drive. The man told police that he left work early and came home to find his girlfriend and her friends drinking in his home. The couple got into a fight and the man went to cool off. When he came back, his girlfriend's friends attacked him. He said a woman hit him over the head with a dumbbell and a man choked him and kicked him.


- A 75-year-old woman was arrested Saturday night in the 1000 block of Beach Boulevard and charged with reckless driving.

Witnesses said the woman drove into a gas station and, while trying to pull into a handicapped space, hit a person who was sitting on the curb and hit the handicapped sign.

When she came out of the gas station, the store attendant followed her to get her license plate number. He was standing behind her car, writing down the number, when she put the gear in reverse. The man yelled for her to stop and she got out of her car, told him to move and continued to reverse. The man was pushed back several feet and had to hold onto the car to stop from falling down. Both victims refused medical treatment.

- A woman reported Sunday that her property was stolen from the 600 block of the beach. A $300 iPod and $150 cell phone were taken.

- A home in the 600 block of Seventh Avenue South was burglarized and a $1,200 computer and $700 Sony Playstation were taken.

- A man told police Friday that someone broke into his home in the 600 block of Patricia Lane and stole about $1,600 in lawn-care equipment.

- A 24-year-old Jacksonville Beach woman was arrested Aug. 8 in the 1000 block of Second Street North and charged with possession of crack and other illegal drugs. …
