CHELSEA are set to increase their offer for Sevilla wing-back Daniel Alves after the Spanish club rejected an initial bid of pounds 21.5m.

The player's agent remains confident the two clubs will soon reach an agreement - paving the way for Alves to move to Stamford Bridge.

Agent Geronimo Suarez said: "We are expecting a solution between the clubs and are confident they are going to reach a deal.

"He is determined to go there. He wants to close the deal as soon as possible."
