Changing Futures

Of course when you think about the future it could be about you or about an organisation you represent. The University's increasing popularity has meant we've had to think about the future and anyone who has driven across the Tyne Bridge recently can't have failed to have seen our new City Campus extension. City Campus East will open it's doors to students this September. New students in our schools of Business, Law and Design will benefit from the new buildings and resources on City Campus East, while our other students will enjoy the greater space created on City Campus West.

Toby Flood (Newcastle Falcons & England) who has recently graduated with a Business Management degree from Northumbria's Newcastle Business School is one individual with his mind on the future. "It's great to be able to have this under my belt for the future, I can't play rugby forever and I've no doubt that my degree will prove to be useful once my sports career is finally over." Toby also contributes part of his recent good form down to his part-time study as he explains, "At times it has been tough to combine rugby and university but it can also prove a welcome distraction - it's good to escape and I'm sure it's improved my form. …
