ARJEN ROBBEN claimed last night that it was a "relief" to leave Chelseaand said that he felt a lack of support from manager Jose Mourinho as hefinally joined Real Madrid in a [pounds sterling]24.5million deal.

The Holland winger enjoyed a memorable first season in London after moving toStamford Bridge from PSV Eindhoven in 2004, but fitness problems curtailed hisprogress after that.

The 23-year-old said: "After a while I felt I wasn't getting the confidence Ineeded from them and I started changing my mind about staying. When a massiveclub like Real comes for you it gives you a lot of confidence. You compare thefeeling of confidence coming from Chelsea and from Real and you go where youthink you will be most happy. I had three very nice years at Chelsea but I hadtoo many injuries there so didn't make the impact I wanted to."
