Football: Don't Get Carried Away, Warns Tynesiders Boss

GATESHEAD boss Ian Bogie has warned his high-flying side against complacency ahead of tonight's UniBond Premier Division game at second-bottom North

Ferriby United, (writes JEFF BOWRON).

The Tynesiders face two potential banana skins this week when they take on winless North Ferriby, and FA Cup opponents Selby Town at the International Stadium on Saturday. Gateshead have won all of their five games this season and are averaging four goals a game under the levelheaded Bogie.

But the former Football League midfielder is aware of the pitfalls ahead, and insists his side are there to be shot at.

He said: "Every team will want to be the first to take points off us and will raise their game, so it's important we remain focused.

"We can't be complacent or we'll be turned over, and North Ferriby will be keen to get their first win of the season - so it's a potential banana skin.

"Results bring confidence and the players can't wait for the next game. …
