TWO-MINUTE DRILL: JOE ZELENKA, FORMER WAKE FOREST LONG SNAPPER AND CURRENT JAGUAR; Ex-Deacon Happy to See Alma Mater's Success

Byline: BOB THOMAS

With Wake Forest playing host to 21st-ranked Florida State tonight, who better to talk about the defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion Demon Deacons than Joe Zelenka? The Jaguars' long snapper is just one of 14 ex-Wake Forest players currently in the NFL.

Just to get to see him go out there and do so well and play so well, and to know maybe somewhere way down the line, I might have had some kind of cornerstone of maybe us being there and my being there and building, that maybe helped them get to where they are today. Probably not. Just seeing those guys and seeing the WF on the helmet and winning the ACC championship and going to a major college bowl was really great. …
