JARROW Vipers had a 9-0 win over Inter Leam to cement their place at the top of the Under-Nine Premier League.

Goals from Thu, Oxley, Elliott and hat-tricks from Hailes and Ritson made up the Vipers' tally.

Hebburn Town Blues are in second spot and kept the pressure on the leaders with a 7-1 victory over Monkton Hurricanes.

On the mark for the Blues were Todd, Jackson, Lisle and doubles from Crawford and Maddison.

South Tyneside FC put in a great display to defeat Whiteleas courtesy of strikes from Tate (2) and Willis, while Harraton Athletic and South Shields Youth shared the points in a tight 1-1 draw, with Norton on the mark for the Washington side.

Jarrow Vikings moved into joint second place in DIVISION ONE with a convincing 3-0 success over Jarrow Fellgate, counters from Hockings, Stobbs and Taylor keeping the Vikings in championship contention.

Also in second place are Shields Tigers after their 3-0 triumph over Chuter Ede Hurricanes.
