Police Briefs; Couple Loading Car at 9:15 A.M. Are Help Up by Men with Gun

Two men robbed a couple early Oct. 26 as they were packing a car outside an apartment complex at 8343 Hogan Road.

But the gunman and his accomplice didn't get much before they ran off.

Police said a 25-year-old woman and 28-year-old man were loading up their car at 9:15 a.m. when the pair walked up, one with a black shirt around his face and gun in hand. The gunman ordered the male victim to drop his pants, then checked its pockets and grabbed a cell phone. Then both ran off.

Following are the crimes and other incidents reported recently in the Southside and San Marco areas, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office:

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:

Apartment at 4080 Barnes Road - A 20-year-old Southside man was arrested at 1 a.m. Thursday on charges of aggravated assault and criminal mischief after a knife was held to a 55-year-old man, then four tires slashed, police said.

BURGLARY:
