ALL eyes will be turned skywards as Bonfire Night celebrations get under way in the Tees Valley.

Fantastic displays are taking place tomorrow and on the big night itself, Monday, November 5.

So if you're a real fireworks fan, there's the chance to enjoy the festivities more than once.

Here's our essential guide to the major displays taking place in the Tees Valley.

HARTLEPOOL - Saturday, November 3 You'll be shaken and stirred at Hartlepool's Fireworks and Music Spectacular on Saturday 3 November.

The theme of this year's show is James Bond and the display will be set to dramatic music from the 007 films.

Organised by Hartlepool Council, the free event takes place on the front at Seaton Carew.

The fun starts at 4pm with kiddies' rides and stalls next to the paddling pool, and there will be live music from jazz/swing band Monroe Street next to the Clock Tower between 5.15pm and 6.30pm.

The fireworks start at 6.30pm with the countdown to the first firework being led by Councillor John Marshall, vice-chairman of Hartlepool Council.

A big turn-out is expected and to help reduce traffic congestion in Seaton Carew, shuttle buses will be in operation.

They will run from Tesco car park in Burn Road between 5.15pm and 6.15pm, with buses returning from Seaton Carew between 7pm and 7.30pm.

Return fares will be pounds 1 for adults and 50p for children, or pounds 2.50 for a family ticket.

DARLINGTON - Saturday, November 3

Head to South Park for Darlington's annual Fireworks Spectacular.

This popular event attracts a region-wide family audience of approximately 80,000 people on the night.

Gates open at 6pm for this year's event and the entertainment kicks off at 6.15pm.

Lighting of the giant bonfire takes place at 7pm and the fireworks will begin at 7. …
