HARTLEPOOL goal hero Tony Sweeney could keep his place in the starting line-up at Huddersfield tonight.

The attacking midfielder has started only two League One games this season, but made the most of the last one - at Millwall on Saturday - by scoring the only goal of the game with a blistering long range shot.

It gave Pools their third away win of the season and they will be confident of another at a Huddersfield side who have made a slows tart to the season, though in a tight division are just three points behind Pools.

Jamie McCunnie is availabale again after suspension, and will be hoping to replace Ali Gibb.

It gives manager Danny Wilson plenty o0f positives to think about, and he said: "Players coming in have taken their opportunities," he said.

"Gibb was outstanding at time, and Sweeney has been scoring goals for the reserves, and it was some strike on Saturday. We know what he can do."

Wilson feels that Pools relish the bigger stadiums, and Huddersfield comes into that category. …
