A LONDON man believes his daughter was a victim of serial sex killerPeter Tobin.

Patsy Morris, 14, disappeared from school one lunchtime and her body was foundhidden in undergrowth on Hounslow Heath in June 1980.

The murder is one of about 17 "cold cases" of missing and murdered girls beinginvestigated for possible links to the convicted killer.

George Morris, now 72, told the Standard: "As soon as I read about the othergirl's body being found in Tobin's back yard something inside me clicked. Itjust felt like at last there might be an answer. Nothing will bring her backbut to know for sure who killed her will bring a sense of relief." Forensicteams today continued to search Tobin's former home in Margate amid fears itcould be a Fred West-style "house of horrors".

A skeleton found in a sandpit in the rear garden has been identified as that ofmissing 15-year-old Vicky Hamilton who vanished in Scotland in 1991.

Police now believe that Tobin killed her after picking her up at a bus stop, kept her body under floorboards for seven weeks and then took her 500 miles toMargate in the boot of his car when he moved to his new house.

Officers found the remains as they were searching for the body of another youngwoman, Dinah McNicol, who was 18 when she vanished at the same time as Vicky.

Detective Superintendent Tim Wills of Essex police said officers believed thebody of the student, who disappeared after attending a Hampshire musicfestival, could still be hidden there.

Experts are using ground-penetrating radar to scan the three-bedroom house andsenior sources say there are still areas where the equipment is showing signsof disturbance that need investigation. Police are preparing to "tear the housedown" to ensure there are no more remains left inside.

Tobin, 61, was due to appear at a court in Scotland today in connection withthe murder of Vicky Hamilton.

Police across the country are scouring their records for possible links betweenTobin and the deaths and disappearances of a string of women over almost fourdecades. …
