A NEW kit, sponsored by Jackson and Copeland, spurred Middleton Rangers Under-10Bs on to an impressive double win last week.
They played Washington Boys first and the game started well for them when a Davy Parker cross led to Washington netting an own goal, before a Nathan Stephenson free kick was powered into the top corner.
This was followed with a lovely finish by Lewis Macdonald. Next up came a great finish by Parker. Stephenson got another before Macdonald and Stephenson scored two more each to win 9-0.
The second match was a bigger challenge.
Soccarena Porto were a bigger and stronger side, but a sweetly struck Macdonald shot put Rangers ahead.
Next came a power-drive from Lewis Rees, then a fantastic header from Macdonald.
Soccarena broke back with a goal, but Stephenson scored a quick hat-trick and the game finished with a Macdonald goal for a 7-1 win.
Table-topping Under-11s turned on the style, beating Cargo Fleet 20-0.
The attack was blistering, midfield competitive, and defenders solid. …
