FIRE STATION 16 DEDICATION & OPEN HOUSE

Today at 10:30 a.m. county commissioners invite the community to the dedication ceremony for Fire Station 16, 235 Murabella Parkway, St. Augustine, followed by an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The ceremony will include remarks from commissioners and the Fire Chief. Open house will include a free cookout, bounce house, tours of the fire station, a K-9 demonstration, and helicopter visit from LifeFlight. All activities are free and open to the public. LIGHTED BOAT PARADE

Tonight at 6:30 p.m. in Julington Creek, the Julington Creek Prop Club presents its annual Christmas on the Creek lighted boat parade. More than 30 boats are expected to assemble at the Julington Creek Marina, 12807 San Jose Blvd., then steam under the Julington Creek bridge before heading west about a mile and circling back into Durbin Creek. They will dock at Julington Creek Marina for a captain's award ceremony. Homeowners who live along the route are asked to decorate their docks and watch the parade. Public viewing is allowed off the bridge, or the city dock at Mandarin Park, 14780 Mandarin Road. The park is open until 10 p.m.

OKLAHOMA

Today at 1 and 7 p.m. at Bartram Trial High School auditorium, 7399 Longleaf Pine Parkway, St. Johns, Bartram Trail High School presents Roger & Hammerstein's Oklahoma. Tickets are $10. The Hootin' Hollerin' Box Social Luncheon Square dance & pie auction will take place in the courtyard at 4 p.m. Ticket with the purchase of a Saturday performance is $18. $10 for the event only. JCP CARES GIVING TREE

Starting today through Dec. 14, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Julington Creek Plantation Community Development District (CDD) Building, 950 Davis Pond Blvd., the Julington Creek Plantation Community Active Residents Engaged in Service (CARES) group is collecting donations to benefit multiple community charity organizations. Choose a gift tag from the tree and drop off the item Monday through Fridays. …
