THE suspected killer of David Nowak fled the scene on a bus using a freetravel pass, it emerged today.

David, 16, was stabbed in the back during a mass brawl outside a communitycentre after up to 40 gang members tried to force their way into a girl's 17thbirthday party.

He became the 26th teenager to be murdered in London this year and the 17th tobe stabbed to death.

The attackers carrying knives, hammers and clubs then boarded a No 67 bus asthey tried to flee the scene using under-18 bus passes.

Police stopped the bus and arrested the suspect along with 14 others agedbetween 13 and 19, including a girl.The fight at the Sommerford Grove Estate inStoke Newington on Saturday is thought to have involved the Holly Street Boysand DNA Boys gangs. David, known by the graffiti tag "Turk" or "TK", went tothe same school as Etem Celebi, 17, who was shot dead last month.

His friend, Luke Balgrove, laid three roses outside the flat in LondesboroughRoad where David lived with his mother and sister. …
