NISSAN says that the central Californ - ian ski resort of Mammoth is so well known in the UK that it is to use the name for two special editions of its Pathfinder and Navara vehicles.

It is the latest phase of a leisure-oriented programme designed to run for three years.

With the Pathfinder and Navara Mammoth models there are price reductions of pounds 1,000 and pounds 1,900 and additional equipment of similar values.

Nissan says: "The name is inspired from the well-known mountain resort located in central California and both vehicles are competitively priced at pounds 27,995 for the Pathfinder, which is pounds 1,000 less than an Aventura and pounds 16,995 for the Navara, which is pounds 1,930 less than an Outlaw."

The Pathfinder features a roof-mounted rear fixed/portable DVD player with a 10.2-inch drop down screen and wireless headphones.

There is also a BOSE stereo system with 10 speakers and a digital amplifier unique to the vehicle . …
