EIGHT DOWN THANKS TO YOU; Now Help Us to Identify the Other Suspected Offenders Caught on CCTV Crimebeat

Article excerpt

Byline: By SIMON WALTON

EIGHT suspects have been identified after the Gazette asked readers to help "Catch a Crook for Christmas."

Today a file of suspected offenders caught on CCTV on Teesside - but yet to be named - is again published.

Just before Christmas we published the pictures of more than 20 alleged offenders - resulting in eight positive results.

Now YOUR help is needed to try to name the rest.

A spokeswoman for Crimestoppers said: "We have had some successes which is great, but I just think that sometimes there is a bit of apathy over the Christmas period.

"We hope that by running these pictures again we can identify some more suspects and get some more names."

Cleveland Police realise some of the pictures are of poor quality but believe someone out there might still be able to help.

If you know any of the suspects, contact Crimestoppers and quote the reference number printed with the picture.

This can be done anonymously and you could be in line for a reward.

Call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
