McIntosh Fires Animal-Control Boss; He Is Charged with Having Pornography on a Laptop Computer

DARIEN - McIntosh County is looking for a new animal-control director to replace one charged with having pornography on a computer.

Smart said his termination of Kinard was justified since he has been charged with sexual exploitation of children. He had been suspended indefinitely without pay.
"We had sufficient grounds for termination, plus he was still in his six-month probation period," Smart said.
During probation, an employed may be let go for any reason, Smart said. Kinard began work in mid-August. …
