I LOVE Shameless. It always makes you feel so much better about your life.

Everything seems to happen on Chatsworth. As Frank says, they know how to throw a party!

But there were no celebrations this week. A mishap with baby Katie and a bag of drugs caused Mandy and Frank to be at loggerheads, resulting in the alcoholic dad moving out of his own home.

Little Liam, who seems to have aged 10 years since the last series, also did a runner when he realised he was facing a lifetime of changing nappies for Monica's new baby.

Mickey's gay secret is proving an amusing storyline. Scenes of him up to naughtiness in the back of his limo are hilarious, but when is his hardman dad Paddy going to find out?

His brother Shane's love affair with a prostitute also tickles the funnybone.

Especially when she keeps charging him for her time.

Well done to the producers for developing these characters, they are brilliant.

Another series that is topnotch TV is the excellent Without A Trace, which returned to our screens this week. …
