The senior men's race saw a first league win for Andrew Wiles, of Mandale, who is still an under-20 and one of the league's most talented young athletes.

Wiles held off the challenge of the experienced Paul Lowe (North Yorks Moors) to record an impressive win in 25mins 3secs, with John Hunter (Loftus/Whitby) in third place and the first veteran home.

Lewis Rodgers (Loftus/Whitby) finished an excellent fourth and he and Hunter led their club to another team win, guaranteeing them the league title for the season.

Carolyn Summersgill (Middlesbrough & Cleveland) led from the start in the senior women's race and took a third consecutive win, ensuring she retained the individual league title. Jessica Russon (New Marske) was again in top form and was the first under-17 runner to finish in fourth place.

Richmond and Zetland, led by second and third-placed Tamsin Clark and Kelly Haniver, led their club to team victory over second-placed Middlesbrough & Cleveland.

Adam Morrell (Mandale) won the under-17 men's event by a near two-minute margin.

Danny Collins (Scarborough) won the under-15 boys race and led his club to team victory over Middlesbrough & Cleveland, while Richmond and Zetland's Maddy Winzer triumphed from Loftus' Grace Rodgers in the under-15 girls event, with Mandale taking the team race.
