FANS of Al Murray are in for a treat tonight when the UK's first virtual pub, headquartered in

Newcastle, stars as Pub of the Week on the funnyman's Happy Hour TV show.

Co-founders of Newcastle-based www.realalepub.co.uk, Tony Appleton and Ben Quigley travelled to London to appear on the show alongside guests Alex James from Blur, Rupert Grint, aka Ron Weasley in Harry Potter, and Penny Smith from GMTV, not forgetting show regulars Big Bob and his wife Anne.

The realalepub.co.uk had the honour of being Pub of the Week and the team got to sit in the hallowed seats reserved for the pub of the week representatives.

As regular viewers of the show can imagine, the realale pub representatives were treated to a barrage of jokes and questions at the hands of the pub landlord.

Company co-founder, Tony Appleton from Gosforth, who was the target for Al Murray's questioning explains: "The Happy Hour team liked the idea of featuring the UK's first virtual real ale pub and invited us to appear as Pub of the Week. …
