Sizing Up Region's Vital Statistics
ON a mission to find the Ultimate British Body, style gurus Trinny and Susannah are sizing-up the region.
As part of a new series for ITV, the pair are embarking on a roadshow where they encourage people to measure every aspect of their body, from height and waist, to chest size, leg and arm length and enter the data online.
Today they will be at the Sage Gateshead to find out the region's vital statistics as they search for the Great British Body.
Participants will also be encouraged to take part in DNA tests run by population geneticist Dr Jim Wilson, of Edinburgh University, to discover whether the FT0 fat gene is more prominent in different parts of the country or even hereditary.
A team of body experts will be on hand to explain how the UK's shape is changing and investigate how the country feels about it.
The roadshow will also be making stops at Birmingham and Brighton and the most inspirational man and woman the pair meet during the tour will have a 50ft sculpture created in their honour for the event's finale at the end of the month. …
