DIVISION ONE RIVERSIDE 2, CLEVELAND CABLES 3 CLEVELAND

Cables edged past Riverside in their relegation battle.

Cables had the better of the chances in the first half, but Riverside struck first with Wheatley latching on to a long ball on the stroke of half-time.

The second half began with Cables pushing for an equaliser and Chris Johnson curled in a free-kick from 25 yards out to level the scores.

Cables extended their lead with two well taken goals from Lee Mitchell but Riverside began to fight back and reduced the deficit through Matt Walker.

Lakes re-established their threegoal lead shortly afterwards as Lee Hall made a long run down the left before firing the ball home.

Lakes carried on the momentum and got their fourth when Lee Addison was fouled inside his own half.

Addison played the free-kick over the top for Guy to hit his second and make it 4-1.

Guy almost had his hat-trick but mis-kicked it. …
