THE Prince of Wales met a hero of the emergency response to the 7 Julyattacks today a cocker spaniel called Jake.

Within three minutes of the bus bombing in Tavistock Square, the sniffer dogwas at the scene checking for further devices. He also searched Russell Squareafter the attacks, which killed 52 innocent people in 2005.

Jake, who received the animal "George Cross" dog service bravery award, jumpedon Charles during a royal visit to Charing Cross police station today.

The spaniel's handler, Pc Bob Crawford, said: "Its just another day for him.He's used to meeting people but he was very keen to say hello." The prince alsofired a Taser stun gun at a foil target and played with the gadgets on a police999 response car which had the call sign Charlie One. He was accompanied by theDuchess of Cornwall who joked: "Don't press any buttons" as Charles was handedthe Taser, and: "Are you going to drive away with it?" as he tested the car'ssiren. …
