When you lose your child, your entire world changes and it becomes one of self-induced solitude. For so many reasons, it becomes traumatically difficult to be among the rest of the world.

I have found, however, through my online support group, that it does help to talk with others who know and understand, from experience, what you are going through. It helps to know you are not alone in your anguish, thoughts, feelings and the changes in your life you are experiencing.

It also helps because you learn from each other. You gain hope from those who are ahead of you on this journey and you are able to give hope to those who trail behind you. Being able to feel even a spark of hope is sometimes all you need to get you to the next hour, and giving just a glimmer of it makes you feel worthwhile. …
