THE MetroCentre found the face of its future publicity campaigns by joining forces with Revive Juice Bars and top modelling agency Storm.

Jourdan King of Gateshead won the model search competition, with the prize package including modelling in MetroCentre's forthcoming publicity campaign.

Hundreds of shoppers turned up to watch the model search final, which took place on Sunday during the MetroCentre's Fashion Fever event, a series of fashion shows featuring the finest selection of catwalk trends.

Jourdan, 26, is the manager of the G-Star Raw store situated in the MetroCentre's upper Red Mall. He was spotted by Emily Shanks from Storm Model Management and encouraged to enter the competition.

Elizabeth Coates, a beauty therapist from Whitley Bay, was chosen as a runner-up and will also feature in the MetroCentre's publicity campaign.

Karen Carr, MetroCentre marketing manager, said: "We received more than 1,000 entries for the competition, so Jourdan and Elizabeth have done extremely well. …
