IT WAS very disappointing to read recent letters about the worth of mima rather than the ones that celebrate the excellence of its exhibitions and its part in regenerating the economy of Teesside.

storeys:ssp arrived as Storey Sons and Parker in Middlesbrough in 1957 and, after three moves, we still employ some 20 staff on Albert Road.

Our offices have seen many changes to the town centre, from being the heart of business life on Teesside, its civil administration centre to a period of decline and decays and its recent renaissance.

We chose not to follow the stampede to Teesdale and gradually witnessed the environmental improvements, better traffic and parking management, increased public realm investment, pedestrianisation, consistent cleaning and improved security.

Middlesbrough now has pride and is transformed. Our office overlooks Centre Square with the fantastic dancing fountains (pictured) and is a pleasure whatever the weather. …
