Police said the driver flagged down an officer and reported that another man driving a Toyota Tundra pickup truck said he was going to shoot him in the face after a dispute over a lane change on the roadway. Police searched for the vehicle and found the truck driver after he was pulled over shortly afterward in the 2300 block of Mayport. After police asked the truck driver if he had a gun, he admitted he did and showed them a .357 magnum handgun on the passenger side seat. The man acknowledged he did not have a permit to carry the gun and was arrested.

Then the fight continued outside the house, where the victim was physically assaulted again and a beer bottle was thrown at the pickup as the victim was fleeing the scene. The truck's windshield was cracked, police said. When police arrived, the attacker left the house and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
