CRACK IN AN 'EGG' Court Told of Drugs Find

A DRUG dealer caught with heroin and crack cocaine in two separate searches of his home has been jailed for more than three years.

Wayne Dixon threw a plastic egg across the living room of his home on Thorndyke Avenue, Beechwood, Middlesbrough, during a police search on the afternoon of August 28 last year, a court heard.

The egg contained 29 foil packages of heroin worth pounds 214 on the street. Another egg contained three packages of crack cocaine worth pounds 30 to pounds 35, said prosecutor Jolyon Perks.

While Dixon, 30, was on bail, his address was searched again on May 7 this year, uncovering 14 wraps of heroin and five of crack cocaine, in a cupboard under the stairs.

A set of scales was found carrying traces of the Class A drugs. Dixon also had a small amount of cannabis.

He admitted possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of cannabis. He had previous convictions and was released in January 2006 from a seven-year sentence for three robberies and possession of heroin, cocaine and cannabis. …
