Insurance Firm Moves to Bartram Springs

Kemper, a Unitrin business that markets and sells automobile, homeowner's and other personal lines of property and casualty insurance, recently moved its corporate office from Belfort Road to Gran Bay Parkway in Bartram Springs.

James Schulte, president of Kemper, said the company first began weighing its options for whether it would renew its lease or move to a new facility back in 2006. After thoroughly reviewing a number of candidate properties based on their responses to the request for proposal and evaluating the needs of its employees, Schulte said moving was the better fit.

"Because we were separated into three buildings, it is exciting to have everyone under one roof," Schulte said. "Plus, it's nice being in a brand new facility that we were able to personalize to meet our specific needs."

On July 7 the home office, which has approximately 500 employees, opened its doors for business in Bartram Springs after a weeklong move.

Schulte said the move was ideal because the new location satisfies the company's criteria:
