No Panic over Season Tickets; Club Chiefs' Promise to United Fans

NEWCASTLE United fans are being told not to worry as they wait for their season tickets to arrive.

Thousands of die-hard fans have been on tenterhooks as they wait for their tickets to land on their doormats before the start of the season today.

Fans have been counting down the days for the season to begin and the ticket saga is causing concern.

But now the club says tickets have been sent out and all should arrive in the next few days.

The club has been given a little more breathing space as the first match is away against Manchester United tomorrow.

Today United officials said the delay is down to "technical difficulties in the printing and distribution" and promise they will be arriving within the next few days.

Steve Wraith, former fans' liaison officer at St James's Park and editor of fanzine Players Inc, said he thought it was probably just teething problems.
