South Carolina (3-2, 0-2) at Ole Miss (3-2, 1-1), 2 p.m.: The teams meet for just the fifth time as members of the SEC, and the Rebels have won the previous four games by an average of 8.5 points. Ole Miss hit some big pass plays against Florida last week, but South Carolina's defense is No. 1 in the nation against the pass (105.0 yards per game). The Gamecocks apparently will go with Chris Smelley at quarterback, but it's likely coach Steve Spurrier will turn to heralded freshman Stephen Garcia at some point.

Kentucky (4-0, 0-0) at No. 2 Alabama (5-0, 2-0), 3:30 p.m., CBS: This is where we find out how good the Wildcats really are. They don't have to win to earn respect, but they can't get blown out. Kentucky has won just twice in 36 meetings (1922 and 1997). The big question for the Crimson Tide is whether there will be a letdown after last week's big victory over Georgia.
