POLICE swooped on a Teesside house as part of a crackdown on suspected drugs.

Officers carried out the raid in Kimberley Drive, Pallister Park, Middlesbrough, as part of an ongoing blitz on the area.

One woman, 22, was arrested and cautioned after a small quality of cannabis was discovered at the address yesterday afternoon.

Inspector Bev Gill, of the local neighbourhood policing team, said officers were carrying out a wider crackdown on anti-social behaviour in the Pallister area.

She said: "It's been a problem area with gangs. That's what we are responding to. That's what neighbourhood policing is all about - listening to the community."

About 24 officers from neighbourhood policing team (NPT) two, the district support unit and the dog unit raided two homes in Kimberley Drive. No drugs were found at the second address.

The operation was carried out in conjunction with enforcement officers from Erimus Housing, which owns both houses, and Middlesbrough Council. …
