GOOD news for fans of Blakes Hotel, where Liam Gallagher and Patsy Kensit spent their honeymoon and where the Duchess of York celebrated her 40th birthday.

The Kensington hotel, whose regulars include Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sadie Frost and Donna Air, was sold last November by Sir Mark Weinberg and his wife, Bond girl-turned-minimalist interior designer Anouska Hempel, to GuestInvest, the company which pioneered the selling of individual hotel rooms to private investors.

But two weeks ago, before it could announce how much rooms at Blakes would be sold for, GuestInvest went into administration.

The move has thrown into confusion the fate of the Pennethorne Wing of Somerset House, which GuestInvest was in advanced negotiations for, as well as its properties in Bayswater, Paddington and Chiswell Street.

Now GuestInvest is up for sale, and administrators Deloitte have extended the deadline for bids until the end of this week. But Blakes, I can reveal, is outside the insolvency and its future is secure. …
