Name the Year

FOR our picture puzzle each day we take a shot from The Journal archives, giving you a bit of a clue and asking you to name the year the picture was taken.

The clipping on the back of today's photograph, above, reads: "Two traffic islands and two bus stops gives the motorist in Low Fell something to think about. These two bus stops in Kells Lane just off the A1, are at the top of the Beacon Lough Road junction. A lay-by is provided for one of the bus services. Some use, some don't. And when two buses pull up at the same time - the stops are directly opposite each other - the road is completely blocked.
