MY FAMILY AT WAR 9pm, BBC1 This is the last in the series, and arguably the most affecting. Not least because Rolf Harris gets to explain the "added poignancy" behind his dreadful interpretation of an old and rather mawkish song called Two Little Boys. Rolf gets to examine his father's tin hat, which has a hole in it, but saved the old boy's life. We may be left wondering whether that was a good thing or not. Rolf's uncle Carl who was Welsh, like his dad Cromwell was responsible for planting a vast mine beneath German trenches at Ypres. Those that survived were deafened for life and didn't have to endure the offspring..

NATURAL WORLD 8pm, BBC2 Titus is a mountain gorilla and apparently one of our nearest relatives, although I've never been persuaded of that. What is true is that Titus has been scrutinised by humans since the day of his birth.

Which means that this is a fascinating glimpse into the world of these hairy primates and what makes them tick. …
