It is a given that the British are crazy about pets. This hilarious documentary proves that some of them are close to certifiable. A male parrot, rather confusingly called Poppy, spends his entire life in sexual overdrive. He will couple with anything animate or inanimate and has a particular fondness for a toy rabbit. Presumably, Poppy is obeying the laws of the jungle, which means no laws at all. Also in the wars is Ethel, an incontinent rabbit who has lost the use of its back legs. The solution to this problem is a customised wheelchair. But, of course! The owners soldier on, smiling through gritted teeth..
