I HAVE been trying for some time to trace my family tree.

My grandmother was Margaret Ann Wheatley (Annie) born at 24 Trafalgar Street, Newcastle, October 2, 1874. Her parents were John Wheatley (shoemaker) and Jane Wheatley, nee Roxborough.

Her mother died when Gran was 12. Gran was put in service. Her father married again. I would love to find out if there are any Wheatleys around that are maybe related. MY name is Joyce Brotherton, formerly Hay nee Hugill. I am having a party to celebrate my 80th birthday. My friend Lynn Curtius nee Evelyn Grieves is coming from Australia for the occasion. We started Sunderland Road School together.
