IN SHOWBIZ circles, nothing is more dazzling than a trip to a movie premiere.

The glitzy glamorous frocks, the flashing glare of long lens paparazzi and the deafening screams from adoring crowds.

And some Leicester Square stardust is to be sprinkled in this part of the world with two exclusive screenings of a film made entirely by volunteers.

Small World was shot by filmmaker and music producer Nigel Ward, who spent part of his childhood in Red car.

The 61-year-old said of the film: "We shot it entirely without any money in the Esk Valley near where I live now in Whit by.

"All the cast and crew, many doing both front and behind camera jobs, all got involved to work on a film."

Small World takes in locations as diverse as an English parochial house and a Bangkok opium den - all sets constructed by Nigel and his team.

He said: "We've been working on this for a few years, ever since we finished our last film, Freyja's Gift. …
