KINGBRO A top Division One - remaining the only unbeaten team.

They are still to play their main rivals Peoples Republic of Northfield and Northfield Advanced.

It was in Division Two that this week's closest games were played.

Kingbro B seem to be the team to beat and managed to dispatch the Veterans team 7-3 with triple wins for both Carl White and an in-form Gary Whyman.

The big match at Eaglescliffe Village Hall saw champions from last year hold on to beat Kingbro C 6-4.

The highlight of the match was a fine treble from 11-year-old John Bousefield, who saw off experienced campaigners Richard Chamberlain, Mal Noble and Geoff Howe.

The game of the week was at Northfield where Hartlepool Westbourne played a draw with Hillprint Media.

Nicky Skip for the Hillprint side secured three wins and was backed up by single victories by Steve Lee and Steve Bannister.

The Hartlepool points were gained by a victory in the doubles and two points each from Andy Greason and Dave Hutchinson. …
