JULIO Arca reckons his midfield partner Didier Digard is destined to be a big hit in the Premier League.

The duo have started just three games together in the heart of the Boro midfield, but Arca has revealed that their partnership has started to click.

The Argentine said: "I think that Didier is still getting used to the Premier League but you can see that he has a lot of qualities.

"He is a young player but he is learning about the game here and he is working very hard.

"The Premier league is different to any other league but Didier wants to do well and he has a good attitude.

"He knows what is needed and I think we have no problems playing together.

"Sometimes he tries to hit the long ball which might lead to a bit more running for us, but he is learning very quickly and that's a good thing."

Arca added: "The manager brought Didier here because of the qualities he has shown.

"He has some way to go yet but I'm sure he will be an important player for Middlesbrough in the future.

"He is easy to play alongside and he passes the ball. We will help each other as much as we can."

While Digard is still finding his feet in his new environment, Arca has wasted no time in getting his feet under the table again after suffering a long and frustrating lay off because of injury.

The 27-year-old suffered a foot injury in a pre-season friendly at Hibs which put him on the sidelines until the end of October.

It was a trip back home to Argentina, to work with a fitness specialist, which helped him get over his problem.

Arca said: "It is very frustrating when you can't play. It's one of the worst things, getting injured before the season starts.

"But it's all gone now and I am happy to be back in the team playing again.

"I am getting my fitness back by playing and soon I will be 100 per cent match fit again. …
