CROOKED HOUSE 10.30pm, BBC4 Mark Gatiss has written this new ghost story which appears in three nightly instalments. He also plays the museum curator who is visited by a teacher bearing an old doorknob he has unearthed. The teacher is curious as to what its history might be, and his curiosity is amply rewarded with a trio of stories about the haunted past of the old pile to which it was once attached. Tonight we get the story of Joseph Bloxham, an unscrupulous speculator who flourished while others suffered. He buys the old pile and has it refurbished. But there is something behind the wainscotting, and it is certainly not a mouse..
