Leisure Staff Shed Inhibitions for Charity

LEISURE centre staff have bared all in a naked calendar for St Oswald's Hospice.

The 12 workers from Concordia in Cramlington braved a series of cheeky poses with only strategically-placed objects to protect their modesty.

Kai Humphries - aka Mr July - from Ashington, said: "We did something similar in 2006 for our internal notice boards. In 2007 lots of people asked if we'd done another one but we hadn't, so in 2008, due to demand, we decided to do it again, but this time for a local charity."

The men range in age from their early 20s to late 50s and are lifeguards, maintenance workers and gym staff. Mr Humphries added: "I'd heard of St Oswald's through friends but up until October this year, when I helped out at one of their events, I hadn't realised what a fantastic local charity it is and how much they rely on charitable donations.

"This is why we chose St Oswald's to benefit from our fundraising. The work they do is amazing and we're very happy to help. …
