BLYTH Spartans manager Harry Dunn has warned his side they cannot afford an FA Cup hangover when they face a Conference North six-pointer at Hyde tomorrow.

The Spartans took Premier League club Blackburn Rovers all the way in the third round of the cup on Monday, only to bow out of the competition following a narrow 1-0 defeat.

All the glory, financial gains and national exposure, however, must now be consigned to history as Dunn looks to mastermind a move away from the foot of the Blue Square North table.

Dunn said: "The 2008-9 FA Cup run has added a new chapter to Blyth Spartans history, but the reality now is the fact we are in a relegation dogfight.

"The lads have been brilliant in the FA Cup but we have struggled badly in the league, and it is a situation we have to address or we are going to be in trouble. …
