It has always been apparent that the CSI team is less a group of professionals and more a family unit, tightly bound by love and loyalty. At the end of the last series, Warrick Brown was shot in his car and at the opening of series nine, he duly breathes his last in the arms of Grissom, who was like a father to him. As the violins shimmer mournfully on the soundtrack, members of the team gather around and hug each other, tears shining in their eyes. I felt pity for the killer it is fairly obvious to us who he is because when this lot hunt him down, there will be hell to pay..
