Daniel Kawczynski v Michael Martin Ground: Parliament Kick off: 8am TORY Daniel Kawczynski has moaned that the Speaker won't back him up in a row with Scotland Yard. Mr Kawczynski last week handed over a constituent's letter to detectives probing some threatening mail sent to Ed Balls.

Later the MP realised he had made a mistake and blamed the Met for asking him nicely instead of waving a warrant in his face. Alas, the Speaker is refusing to discuss it with him. "Mr Martin has shown a perfectly amiable attitude to me up until now," moaned the MP on Tory activist Iain Dale's blog. "He smiled pleasantly from time to time." Poor lad.
