GEORDIES love to celebrate grand times in black-and-white.

Newcastle United is their heritage and the love affair with the club is unbreakable.

All of which is why later this year the Toon Army will rejoice in the memory of two outstanding teams.

Then, it was announced in the last 48 hours, the Entertainers of the early 90s will play a charity match against Liverpool old boys in October, a re-run of the most enthralling Premier League encounter ever witnessed.

Both events will take place at St James's Park - and on both occasions the heroes of battle will be reunited once again.

Bob Moncur will lead the Euro march with the likes of Wyn Davies, Pop Robson, Frank Clark, Benny Arentoft, David Craig and Willie McFaul in tow.

Alan Shearer will head the 90s superstars including David Ginola, Les Ferdinand, Rob Lee, Philippe Albert, Peter Beardsley, John Beresford and, hopefully, Tino Asprilla. …
